What we can learn from The Lorax

Dr Seuss’ The Lorax knew the importance of the word UNLESS as he lamented ‘unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better’. The Lorax even left this word emblazoned in stone as a reminder for the Once-ler of both the mistakes of his past and the opportunity for his future.

I think it’s time this seemingly insignificant word is attributed more power, a higher standing in our world so, like the Once-ler, we can be reminded of what has already past and what yet can lie ahead…

As a dad, unless I lead my children will be fatherless.

As a son, unless I honour I too will be dishonoured.

As a husband, unless I love I will not be respected.

As a leader, unless I encourage people will not be developed.

Unless, unless, unless… what is your unless moment?

All hail The Lorax.

LET HOPE RISE
