What do you carry?

We all carry something, wherever we go.

We carry our attitudes, our beliefs, our hopes and dreams. These can be easily ‘caught’ by those around us. What we carry can bring a breath of fresh air, a positive change, or reinforce a negative, much like a disease. We can bring hope or we can bring pessimism. We can bring life or we can bring death.

As a child of God, I carry the spirit of God. The powerful, all-conquering spirit of the Creator. I carry the joy, the grace, the peace, the hope, the future that is a life in and with God.

This doesn’t mean I don’t have challenge. John 16:33 states “…in this world you WILL have trouble…” however it then goes on to say “…BUT take heart! I have overcome the world.” This is God’s promise to us. This is what believers have the opportunity to carry into the marketplace, into our local churches, into our communities, into our homes.

“But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
