I just felt I had words within me waiting to have life breathed into them by committing them to paper (or a laptop screen!). For as long as I can remember I’ve enjoyed writing. I can even still recall one of the stories I wrote in Senior English, can relive the speeches I wrote for College addresses or debates, and even enjoy documenting processes at work.
Why then did I not do anything about this until recently?
Because I didn’t think of myself as a ‘writer’.
Surely, I thought, a ‘writer’ is a novelist of Dan Brown fame, maybe a blogger such as Seth Godin, or a practical teacher like John Maxwell, or an inspirational leader like Brian Houston. It couldn’t be me, surely?
So many of us have a dream to be “something”; a sometimes overwhelming feeling that we’re destined to be more; a hunger to do that thing where our passion and skill
The only way we can make that a reality is to live it. I still have my day job, but I am now also writing. Since I’ve started this very blog, the writer within me has been
fuelled for larger, more exciting projects. By starting to live my dream amongst the regularity of my life I have glimpsed my potential, an even bigger dream.
Unlock your future, start living your dream.
Let Hope Rise.
